About

In the fall of 2015, representatives from all over Elkhart County met to discuss possibilities for various legacy projects to celebrate Indiana's Bicentennial in 2016.  After the meeting, a group of Middlebury residents joined together to plan their legacy project, a Party in the Park, to celebrate Indiana's Bicentennial as well as Middlebury's 180th birthday.  Along with this party, a self-guided tour book of historic homes, businesses, churches, cemeteries, and other landmarks in the Middlebury area was published.   This group of ladies had so much fun and success working together, we decided to continue planning family-friendly community events.  Originally known as the Middlebury Then and Now Committee, our organization has since been incorporated and has been approved by the IRS as a 501(c)3 entity with the mission "to promote and support family-friendly events that showcase the beauty and history of the Town of Middlebury, Indiana and the surrounding area".  We want to share why "we love where we live".
